When people need a place to play, it’s often a county-built and maintained facility they head to.
Often times this includes lots of outdoor venues such as bike and walking trails, parks, ball fields, courts – even golf courses and equestrian parks. In more recent years, counties have partnered with other local government entities to create indoor facilities such as recreation centers that provide all types of opportunities for community events and health-related activities.
County parks and recreation departments also offer lots of different kinds of programming and classes such as sports leagues for all ages and lessons and classes of all kinds.
