There are many important resources to you and your children regarding health and wellness. County health departments provide many clinical care programs to aid in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Baby Your Baby is designed to assist eligible pregnant women with prenatal care to assist in a healthy pregnancy and, in turn, a healthy newborn.
Child health evaluations, or well-child examinations, are offered by most counties in order to obtain a health history and for preventive care. Children ages 0-21 are seen by medical providers and follow up appointments are scheduled to track growth and developmental progress.
Immunizations are one of the most important things we can do to protect our health and prevent future disease. The county health department offers vaccines for EVERY age, not just infants. Many vaccines actually wear off so older kids and adults should be re-immunized in order to provide safety to themselves and those around them, particularly infants.
The links below provide a detailed immunization schedule for every age. If you are behind on any immunizations, visit your county health department to schedule an appointment to receive vaccines, or receive a check-up.
